Seeing as how you are purchasing additional drives, it is trivial to image from one set of drives to another set while re-sizing things as you go. This is actually a *very* *save* way to go. If there is a problem with the new drives, simply re-connect the old drives. If everything goes well, you can re-purpose the old drives if you want to in a month or two of "safety net". Most of the image-while-resizing-on-the-fly-to-new-drives jobs that I've done have been circa two to three hours worth of time, and most of that is physically handling the drives. The new drives open up a lot more options and make things a lot safer and easier. Grant. . . .
