Hi Craig,

You asked what I would eventually use. My laptop DVD is dying, so I
have just SUSE.

My preferences are Ubuntu, Mepis or Mint.

Will initionally install SUSE, BUT will have a new drive.

My pleasure. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 for personal & work. So far so
good. SUSE, long ago, was my first choice: really appreciated their
doc, one of the best.

Good luck with whatever you chose. Let me know if I can help. I'm *very*
familiar with MEPIS, and try and stay reasonably familiar with Ubuntu.
Mint is Ubuntu with a little different look, but they are essentially
the same thing. As far as SUSE is concerned, I'm clueless. Just never
could warm up to that one.
