From: Dewey Edwards on 12 May 2010 00:15 Hi Craig, You asked what I would eventually use. My laptop DVD is dying, so I have just SUSE. My preferences are Ubuntu, Mepis or Mint. Will initionally install SUSE, BUT will have a new drive. Thanks for your earlier advice sir, Mark's as well.

My pleasure. I'm running Ubuntu 10.04 for personal & work. So far so good. SUSE, long ago, was my first choice: really appreciated their doc, one of the best. Enjoy, -- -Craig

Good luck with whatever you chose. Let me know if I can help. I'm *very* familiar with MEPIS, and try and stay reasonably familiar with Ubuntu. Mint is Ubuntu with a little different look, but they are essentially the same thing. As far as SUSE is concerned, I'm clueless. Just never could warm up to that one. -- Mark Warner ....lose .inhibitions when replying
