From: Bob Donald on 18 Mar 2010 14:32 Ok, I saw her on AI last night, and although I didnt care for the music <a bit too girl power for me> I could see the technique in her left hand. So, I went on the web and checked her site out, had to buy it to support her when I saw she was endorsed by Carlos and Steve. She does this duet with Steve Vai, and when I saw it I thought you'd get a kick out of it. http://www.orianthi.com/player/default.aspx?meid=5548

I also liked her hair, cape and her short colored fingernails too, they matched her strap. <g> No seriously, it is refreshing for me to see kids playing actual instruments again and doing it very well. Thanks Bob!
From: Bob Donald on 18 Mar 2010 20:20 No problem, It seemed like our past conversations revealed similar tastes in guitarists, so I thought you'd appreciate her playing as much as I did. When I saw Vai, Santana and others that I really respect endorsing her, I had to give it a serious listen. After hearing it, I had to buy the CD just to show support! Granted, not my taste in music, but she's off to one hell of a start, and after a little growing as a writer she could be formidable. I agree about the instrument thing, so tired of rock band this, guitar hero that. It just irks me when people find out I'm a musician and ask me if I play guitar hero. Yeah, I spent the last 30 years and 10's of thousands of dollars in preperation of playing "simon" with a guitar shaped controller on the xbox. Stone and Parker nailed it with their GH episode of Southpark. The redeeming factor is that they have to use music from our time in the game :) "Here In Oregon" <HIO(a)nospam.net> wrote in message news:hnu1ng$ipo$1(a)news.eternal-september.org... >> http://www.orianthi.com/player/default.aspx?meid=5548 > > Wow, I am stunned,... she can play.
