I tired several times, same result. Any ideas? OK, I had to live w/o PH for a few weeks when I was too busy to deal with this but finally figured it out: You have to manually re-install SIMBL first. Then PH. (IIRC upgrading PH used to upgrade SIMBL too in the past.) Thanks for all the responses.
