Oh I didn't buy it as an investment. It's got work to do every weekend. In it's younger days it probably worked hard all day, every day. I was talking to the owner of the tractor store, (started by his grandfather) and he said that there were maybe 100,000 or more of a particular model made in the past. (Of course they would sell one model for several years.) Where as today there may be only a few thousand of one model made... and there are all sorts of different options. George H.

Yeah just having fun with John's Bridgeport comment. What else tends to hold it's value? We've got a Bridgeport at work that I assume we could sell for about what we paid for it. Same goes for my tractor, (though I did just pay $350 to have the head re-ground.) I must say I have a certain fondness for things made to last. We have black rotary dial phone in the shop, bought for $10 back in the 70's. I assume it will outlast all our other current phones. George H. > > >It's got work to do every > >weekend.
