My Logitech laser mouse is not automatically installed when I plug it into
USB port. Until I reinstalled Windows XP 2 days ago it was always installed
automatically. Maybe the USB driver was not properly installed during my
reinstallation of Windows? The mouse works well on my other computer so it is
not the problem. When I plug it in, a "Welcome to the Found New Hardware
Wizard" window pops up. It is not supposed to do that, it should install the
mouse driver itself and start working. While now the cursor can only be moved
through the touchpad.

I appreciate any help.

Did you reinstall the Logitech drivers after you reintalled Windows?
