From: Bear on 17 Feb 2010 11:38 For whatever reason, my peer wants to position the selection about an inch down from the top of the current window -- not the page, but the window. So, for example, in Normal view the selection would appear as if one had positioned it at the top of the active window, then scrolled it down about an inch. The material above the selection may be of various heights, so it's no good extending a range up by three wdlines. Any clues where to start looking? Bear -- Windows XP, Word 2000

Hi Bear Basically, it can't be done. This question was asked in this group on 8th January, the thread "Auto-scroll in the Word window". If you go there, you'll get the details of why it can't be done. -- Regards Jonathan West "Bear" <david.chinell(a)ge.com(nospam)> wrote in message news:6A0ADD80-1833-474D-B824-B107B428260A(a)microsoft.com... > For whatever reason, my peer wants to position the selection about an inch > down from the top of the current window -- not the page, but the window. > > So, for example, in Normal view the selection would appear as if one had > positioned it at the top of the active window, then scrolled it down about > an > inch. > > The material above the selection may be of various heights, so it's no > good > extending a range up by three wdlines. > > Any clues where to start looking? > > Bear > -- > Windows XP, Word 2000 |
