From: RealGomer on 31 May 2010 07:24 Other than using a text box, is there a way to position the asterisk (*) and caret (^) so they fall closer to the base of the line being typed. I tried using Font > Character Spacing > Position > Lowered but that pushes the next line down by the same number or points the character is lowered. Some documents require a row of asterisks or carets inserted in line with the rest of the text. -- Für Elise - Support the Breast Cancer & Heart Foundations
From: Graham Mayor on 31 May 2010 07:37 Loweing the text won't push the line down if you set the line spacing of the paragraph to an exact amount. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> "RealGomer" <RealGomer(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:90D5D416-E8BA-4161-87CF-E6AB276495E0(a)microsoft.com... > Other than using a text box, is there a way to position the asterisk (*) > and > caret (^) so they fall closer to the base of the line being typed.
