The same camera, printer, phone, flash drive, etc that is plugged into the REAR ports have an error message when plugged into the FRONT 2 Ports. From: Andrew E. on 6 Feb 2010 00:16 Usually the USB ports in front are/were an optional installaion.With the owners manual & the USB socket for the rear ports,check the wiring configuration,it must be exact..Also,with some MBs,what looks like a USB socket,isnt,even though it has the right amount of terminals for USB.Again, refer to the owners manual.
