(2) LINK: (Home Page or download if different)
http://www.uwe-sieber.de/usbdlm_e.html

(3) DESCRIPTION:
"USBDLM is a Windows service that gives control over Window's drive
letter assignment for USB drives. Running as service makes it
independent of the logged on user's privileges, so there is no need to
give the users the privilege to change drive letters.
It automatically solves conflicts between USB drives and network or
subst drives of the currently logged on user. Furthermore you can
define new default letters for USB drives and much more."

"USBDLM is Freeware for private and educational (schools, colleges,
universities) use only. The students shall outnumber all others.
Otherwise one licence per computer is required after a 30 day test
period even though the software does not expire."

(1) PROGRAM NAME: Filenote (part of ShellTools)

(2) LINK: (Home Page or download if different)
http://www.moonsoftware.com/shelltools.asp
http://www.moonsoftware.com/getfile.asp?shelltools

(3) DESCRIPTION:
Filenote - Allows you to add comments to a file by creating/opening a
text file for editing with the same file name as the file you selected
when you invoked Filenote from your right-click context menu. If a
same-named text file already exists, the existing file will be opened
for editing istead of creating a new one. You can configure Filenote
to use your text editor of choice, the default is Windows Notepad.

Notice: Filenote comes as part of the authors ShellTools install, so
you must install full package even if you only want Filenote. Shell
Tools is a collection of free Windows shell extensions and utilities.
The package contains updated versions of the authors old shell
extensions FontLoader, FileNote, RegisterEx, CopyURL and some new
ones, including a control panel that allows you to enable or disalbe
the included shell extensions. You can disable most of the other
extensions if for example you only want to use FileNote. A Unicode
enabled version of Shelltools is in the works, a beta version is
available from the authors site.

Indeed. AHK is one of the few indispensable programs I am using on a
daily (if not hourly) basis which I've not written myself;-)

Indeed. AHK is one of the few indispensable programs I use on a daily,
if not hourly basis (especially hotkeys and hotstrings) which I've not
written myself:-)
