From: Bjorn S. on 25 Sep 2009 10:18 (1) PROGRAM NAME: Roadkil's Unstoppable Copier (2) LINK: (Home Page or download if different) http://www.roadkil.net (3) DESCRIPTION: From the homepage: "Recovers files from disks with physical damage. Allows you to copy files from disks with problems such as bad sectors, scratches or that just give errors when reading data. The program will attempt to recover every readable piece of a file and put the pieces together. Using this method most types of files can be made seable even if some parts of the file were not recoverable in the end". Most ordinary copy programs (including Windows own) will abort when a piece of a file is missing/unreadable, and then discharge (delete) the parts of the file that was actually copied before the abort was triggered. Say if the file contained your new book, you loose the whole book if a piece of the file is missing/unreadable. With Unstoppable Copier you might on the other hand be able to salvage most of your text and for example only loose a few pages. -- All the best, Bjorn S. - I only post via <news.individual.net> or <news.broadpark.no>!
