Maybe Macs default to 192.168.1.x when no DHCP server is found. The JetDirect, which works, is manually configured to 192.168.1.151. Based on that, configure your Lexmark to 192.168.1.172 with a netmask of 255.255.255.0. When I try to print a test page, there is the same message as before : probl�me r�versible : l'h�te du r�seau � 192.168.1.172 � est occup� ; nouvel essai dans 5 secondes... When I ping this address, the reply is : ping: sendto: No route to host For this evening, it is not good... and I vill leave hoe for few days, I'll be back next tuesday et go on testing.
