From: Matt on 9 Nov 2009 23:49 Hi We have a Windows Terminal Server 2003 SP2. Any staff who log into the terminal server from home and have a local printer at home keep having the session of their home printer not being cleared when they log off. So they end up having about 5 sessions appearing for the same printer and not being able to print to it until I restart the spooler service on the terminal server. They have the same printer driver version installed on the server and their home computers. All staff are having this problem with some users have XP, Vista and even windows ce thin client dumb pc. I have confirmed with the users that they log off and not disconnected but just to be sure I have set the terminal server to log off, disconnected sessions after 15mins. What should I be looking at to fix this issue? thanks in advance
From: Marc K on 16 Nov 2009 11:28 Can this be reproduced 100% of the time? I've seen it occur before, but only sporadically. Rebooting the TS will make it go away for a random amount of time (weeks). The suspicion is that you have a buggy driver installed on the system cuasing havoc with the print system. From: Soo Kuan Teo [MSFT] on 16 Nov 2009 13:05 It appears that something is holding the printer queue open. Are they any printer related apps installed on the machine?
