From: Alu_GK on 16 Mar 2010 01:22 Hello - I've created an application in access 2003, installed it on another computer that has the following configuration: Windows XP, Office 2007, Access runtime 2003, and I've removed the access 2007 from the office package. The following error happens when the user is trying to print a report. "The action Printout was canceled, Error 2501" A message of the error handling that I've created focuses the problem on the Function "PrintNormalTas" which has the following code lines: DoCmd.OpenReport sReportName, acViewPreview, , sFilterCriter DoCmd.PrintOut acPrintAll, , , , nCopies DoCmd.Close acReport, sReportName This error happens only with this kind of report. Other reports are printed ok. And it happens only on that computer, though I have more users that uses office 2007 and access runtime 2003, that don't have this problem. If anyone has an idea how can I solve this – I WILL BE GREATFUL!!! Thanks ! -- Alu_GK
From: golfinray on 16 Mar 2010 09:00 I think that error is related to the printer, not access. Is this machine printing to the same printer as everyone else? Check your print queue and cartridge and printer driver. -- Milton Purdy ACCESS State of Arkansas "Alu_GK" wrote: > Hello - > I've created an application in access 2003, installed it on another computer > that has the following configuration: > Windows XP, Office 2007, Access runtime 2003, and I've removed the access > 2007 from the office package. > The following error happens when the user is trying to print a report. > "The action Printout was canceled, Error 2501" > A message of the error handling that I've created focuses the problem on the > Function "PrintNormalTas" which has the following code lines: > > DoCmd.OpenReport sReportName, acViewPreview, , sFilterCriter > DoCmd.PrintOut acPrintAll, , , , nCopies > DoCmd.Close acReport, sReportName > > This error happens only with this kind of report. From: Jerry Whittle on 16 Mar 2010 09:29 Is there a default printer installed on that computer? What happens when they try to manually print the report? Are there records for the reports to print? DoCmd.PrintOut prints the active object. Could there be something interfering with the report after it's open? -- Jerry Whittle, Microsoft Access MVP Light. Strong. Cheap. Pick two.
