From: paddy_nyr on 7 Jul 2010 12:45 Hi, What's the best way to download and install Pro*C on to a Solaris 10 system? I've downloaded, bunzip2 and did a tar extract of the the file called SunStudio12u1-SunOS-SPARC-tar-ML.tar.bz2 and I can't find the the ../installer or ./batch_installer command. Did miss something? Thanks

Now when I try and install patches for the Sun Studio 12 (I'm running Solaris 10 05/08 ) I get the following error message: Cannot open pkginfo /var/sadm/pkg/SUNWocfh/pkginfo On a Solaris 9 machine I have that has to do with "Open Card Framework", but I can't seem to find the package on the Sun site. Thanks

You won't, it's on the install media. It sounds like the system had a minimal install and not a developer or kitchen sink one. -- Ian Collins
