Hi Guys

I have written a matlab code to obtain the values of a waveform from an oscilloscope. I use a GPIB USB interface. I have set the encoding to be binary. But the obtained waveform values is

I think I need to process the obtained values to get the actual voltage values. Can someone please guide me on how to process the above obtained values in order to find the actual voltage values transferred. Can someone please explain what would be the next step?

Thanks

It seems you read your binary data with an ordinary editor.
try the following:

doc fopen
doc fread

Hi Schmidt

I am able to read the values when I did the way u asked me to do. But I find the values that I got are not what I see on the Oscilloscope. I do not get voltage values. Instead I get a series of values which are mostly same all the time( As you can see from my previous message which had values which we could not understand).

What should I be using if I need to get the same voltage values as in the scope? I have used DATA:START, DATA:STOP and CURVE functions for getting the waveform values. Should I be using some other functions instead of these?

Thanks
