From: Bill on 8 Sep 2006 14:37 " Internet Explorer encountered problem with an add-on......... " "The following add-on was running when problem occured " File AcroPDF.dll . ( Adobe PDF Reader ). Followed this through and tried to disable within the add-on management screen. Whilst this shows as successful IE still shuts down as threatened and I loose my connections. Restart IE with add-on showing as disabled but still cannot proceed to open a pdf. Reverts to shut down again. Also am unable to "update this add-on " as management screen will not highlight the Update ActiveX box. I'm stuck - how do I deal with this to allow pdf opening without IE closure please.
