From: ishah on 4 Nov 2009 13:36 How do I fix problems with TOCs, TOFs, and TOTs. that don't copy the exact caption format? I am working on a document that was created in Office '97 or maybe 2003, and it is nothing but problems with formatting. It has been several days of work with no results. I get one thing fixed and that only causes another issue to evolve. Isn't there any conversion programs from one version to another? I am at my wits end. These documents are engineering specs and are used, reused, changed, edited for years. Recreating them would take weeks, months, years. Everything worked fine until we installed 2007. Please help me. -- ishah

Are you trying to get the text in your lists of figures and tables to appear exactly as they do in the caption text? If the TOC and TOT are set up in the "usual" way, you should be able to adjust the formatting for the table of figures paragraph style to the match the caption paragraph style. It is hard to offer advice without knowing how the TOC, TOFs, and TOTs are set up and what styles you are using. Please tell us more about your problem.
