From: Gilbert on 30 Aug 2009 08:34 Hi On a 64 bit 11.1 system, I cannot play commercial DVD's. I'm using Kaffeine 0.8.8.0.pm.1-x86_64, libdvdread 4.1.3-1.pm.1.1-x86_64 & libdvdcss 1.2.10-3.16-x86_64. Trying to play the DVD, Kaffeine throws a series of error messages to the console; libdvdread Unable to read VTS_TMAP_ENT libdvdread CHECK_VALUE failed in info_read (several of these) libdvdread Invalid Title IFO (VTS_01_0.IFO) The same DVD's play correctly on a 32 bit OpenSuse 11.1 system using libdvdread 4.1.3-1.9.i586, and libdvdcss 1.2.10.8.11.i586 Is there a known problem with 64-bit libdvdread and if so, has anyone solved it? Regards

Works fine for me, 11.1 64-bit - although I had no sound until I set the xine engine audio setting in Kaffeine from 'auto' to 'alsa'. Some of your packages are not the latest though. I have: libdvdread4-4.1.3-1.16 libdvdread3-0.9.7-4.pm.11 libdvdcss-1.2.10-6.1 Is the packman repository enabled for updates? Try opening Online Update in YaST and select the menu Package - All Packages - Update if newer version available. This will update the 'unofficial' packages you have installed. You may get some dependency errors but these are usually easy to resolve. -- Ulick Magee Free software and free formats for free information for free people.
