From: JD on 30 Nov 2009 01:38 Hi Experts, I am using Jarte to set up pairs of words and need to convert rows into columns - one at a time is ok. I don't see any way to do that in Jarte. Can it be done? If not, I guess I could set up and try Open Office. Thoughts? TIA

I may not be totally sure what you are talking about, but wouldn't a global search and replace to change spaces to returns accomplish this, or did you have something else in mind?

If I understand well, you have a file with 2 columns and n rows like that : word1<space>word11<endofparagraph> word2<space>word22<endofparagraph> .... wordn<space>wordnn<endofparagraph> and you want a file with n colums and 2 rows like that : word1<space>word2<space>...<space>wordn<endofparagraph> word11<space>word22<space>...<space>wordnn<endofparagraph> Is that good ? -- Une tartine beurrée attachée sur le dos d'un chat. My thanks to everyone who responded. I should have been more specific. At present I have 2 rows and n columns and I want to rotate them by 90 degrees into 2 columns and n rows. Will try your Columnizer Bill. Thanks for the suggestion.
