From: rnangel on 26 Apr 2010 16:01 I recently upgraded to Project Pro 2010. However, the Project Server is running 2007. I can open local project files fine, but when I try to open a project on the server I receive this error. "No permissions to read Project Server Enterprise Global file". Is Project Pro 2010 compatible with Project Server 2007? If so, how do I resolve this error? Thanks. -- Rick
From: Andrew Lavinsky on 26 Apr 2010 18:22 AFAIK Project Pro 2010 is not compatible with Project Server 2007. On the other hand, Project Pro 2007 is compatible with Project Server 2010 running in Backwards Compatibility Mode (BCM). - Andrew Lavinsky Blog: http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/epm > I recently upgraded to Project Pro 2010. From: Rod Gill on 26 Apr 2010 19:58 You have a Project 2010 license, so you are entitled to install Project 2007 Pro provided you keep the 2010 box as your license for it. You can of course then uninstall 2007 and re-install 2010 once you upgrade to Project Server 2010. -- Rod Gill Microsoft MVP for Project - http://www.project-systems.co.nz Author of the only book on Project VBA, see: http://www.projectvbabook.com "Andrew Lavinsky" <(Catapult Systems)> wrote in message news:c4abab7231dfe8ccb37c38a3d524(a)msnews.microsoft.com... > AFAIK Project Pro 2010 is not compatible with Project Server 2007. > > On the other hand, Project Pro 2007 is compatible with Project Server 2010 > running in Backwards Compatibility Mode (BCM). > > > - Andrew Lavinsky > Blog: http://blogs.catapultsystems.com/epm > >> I recently upgraded to Project Pro 2010.
