From: Jeremy on 12 Dec 2008 15:47 I periodically get the following message when I open my project's properties page. The last time, I re-booted and that fixed the problem. This time, that didn't work. Reinstalling every couple of weeks is going to be a serious productivity hit. What's going on? Vista biz, vs2k8, c# WPF project. "An error occurred trying to load the page. COM object that has been separated from its underlying RCW cannot be used." When I click on the Publish tab, I get the following: "An error occurred trying to load the page. The publish components are not available. You need to reinstall Visual Studio to publish your application." Jeremy
From: Jeremy on 12 Dec 2008 19:02 I've installed sp1 for vs. After a reboot I was able to publish (click-once to a network drive). After closing vs, I realized I needed to make a tiny cosmetic change to the app, so opened vs again. The error msg showed again. (ie, you need to reinstall ...).
