From: Tamutka on 13 Apr 2010 04:28 Hi, I have Firefox as a default browser. Since I am working a lot for students, I use Power Point as a base and then a lot of links on excersises, made with Hot Potatoes. If I use the Power Point presentation on my computer (not over the internet), all links for HotPotatoes excersises open in IE whic is always "helping me to protect my security...". If I disable this as it is in Help, IE stop to prtect me, but the excersises cannot be used. Is there a way to arrange in Power Pont to use some other browser and not IE? Thank you! Regards, Natasa

I don't quite understand how PowerPoint fits into this. I'm guessing it's something like this: You have a PPT presentation that includes links to HTML files that you created with the various Hot Potatoes tools. Is that correct? You might try using a Run Program action setting instead of a hyperlink directly to the HTML file. For example, set the Run Program: text box to: c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe "your file.html" If your file's on a mapped network drive, you may not be able to use the mapped drive letter; at least it won't work here. But I was able to use: c:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe "\\servername\sharename\directory\file.htm" ============================== PPT Frequently Asked Questions http://www.pptfaq.com/ PPTools add-ins for PowerPoint http://www.pptools.com/
