From: cufc1210 on 21 Apr 2010 12:21 I have a workbook which has 15 worksheets in it. It is on a network drive so other people can access it. I want to allow people to view the workbook without having to enter a password but i dont want them to be able to edit it. Any suggestions on how I do this will be much appreciated Many Thanks cufc1210
From: Mike H on 21 Apr 2010 12:36 Hi, I would use Windows to do this. In Windows Explorer, right click the file and set it's property to read only. It won't stop people changing it but it will stop them saving with the same filename and given the level; or lack of, Excel security IMHO it's as good as any method. -- Mike When competing hypotheses are otherwise equal, adopt the hypothesis that introduces the fewest assumptions while still sufficiently answering the question.
