From: Kate Minogue on 26 May 2010 07:49 I just installed Psychtoolbox-3 and when I tried to open a window using the screen command I got the following error Invalid MEX-file 'C:\toolbox\Psychtoolbox\PsychBasic\MatlabWindowsFilesR2007a\Screen.mexw32': This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem. I don't really know what this means or how i would go about just reinstalling the screen application. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
From: Lisa Min on 27 May 2010 03:46 I have the same problem. Is it due to Matlab or Psychtoolbox? From: Kate Minogue on 27 May 2010 05:20 I'm not really sure, I never had this kind of error when I used other Matlab add-ons, i thought maybe it was a problem with the download? From: Mario Kleiner on 27 May 2010 23:02 Kate & Lisa, please just run UpdatePsychtoolbox again. I made some changes and the installation should abort with an error message pointing you to a download location on Microsoft's website. You need to install/update a file from there, and follow the given instructions. It's basically a Windows problem due to Microsofts dumb design of their runtime libraries. Oh and Psychtoolbox has its own user forum which you should use instead of this forum. I only stumbled across your messages by accident, usually no one will notice if you post ptb related problems here. This is the URL: <http://tech.groups.yahoo.com/group/psychtoolbox/> Please report back on our forum if it worked out for you. So far i don't have feedback from users if the fix works. best, -mario (Maintainer of Psychtoolbox-3) "Kate Minogue" <kminogue86(a)gmail.com> wrote in message <htldgl$6bd$1(a)fred.mathworks.com>... > I'm not really sure, I never had this kind of error when I used other Matlab add-ons, i thought maybe it was a problem with the download? > > "Lisa Min" <hongxumin(a)gmail.com> wrote in message <htl7vt$1et$1(a)fred.mathworks.com>... > > I have the same problem.
