From: Brian on 4 May 2010 14:16 Is there a way to create rules for a folder-assigned e-mail box? Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003 I have a public folder to which an e-mail address is assigned. Inbound orders arrive in this box and are processed throughout the day by staff. Management has asked me to provide an auto-response to confirm receipt of mail arriving in this public folder. It can be very simple--something like this: "Your order has been received." That is, I do not need to provide any logic referring to the content of the e-mail; a simple RE: will do. Since this address/mailbox is not user-based but folder-based, how do I set up a rule to do the auto-response?

Here is the answer: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/903289?p=1 On the public folder: Right-click Properties Administration tab Folder Assistant Add Rule etc. "Brian" wrote: > Is there a way to create rules for a folder-assigned e-mail box? > > Exchange 2003 on SBS 2003 > > I have a public folder to which an e-mail address is assigned.
