From: rick_s on 27 Jun 2010 15:44 Oh the evils of push technology. Do we want to be able to send our assistants physically around the world looking for stuff? Tripping other people's macros for fun and profit and all that, filling their house with special offers AUTOMATICALLY for your pleasure and enjoyment? There are places for people who do that, prison is one. So you can look things up without going there and there are other ways of doing things with pull technology which actually is what you want. In fact it is the most important thing in the universe, unless you want to be just a battery in the matrix, you must summon your AI, and not just be able to send him off doing things to other people. And when you go to a cybercafe you put your thumbnail drive in the USB port and summon them. If you want to send it to a club, then you need a stamp to get in. Everything requires stamps as passwords. Remember a stamp is a picture taken out of doors, and as a password, it might have 1.2 million letters. Instead of entering a password, you browse for the right stamp and send it. Bandwidth? No, because if the first line of any bitmap stamp does not match your records the rest of it won't either so don't bother sending anymore of that stamp, you don't have access with that stamp. Push technology is what criminals want. When you hear ANYONE talking about push technology saying is it good for people investigate them for taxes and fraud and corruption and you will find them rotten to the core, in with the mob, and aluminum siding salesmen and insurance salesmen, yeah and the consumer protection agency, and ombudsman and the mayor's office in some cities. Half the world are criminals. Give them more weapons to shoot you with. That is what you are doing with push technology. So don't wine about Microsoft when you gave that power yourself. OMG there is an even bigger crook than you! Who would have thought that??? Especially in the wild west of all places.
