There would be nothing to tell you that you would have gotten
different results if you had deactivated before Validating.

Hold down CTRL+SHIFT from just before you click "Validate" until
Quicken tells you it is super-validating.

OK, I see what you mean. I didn't catch the point before that the
corruption preventing validation may be related to online downloading
operations.
