Thanks for the ideas. I've been spending some time thinking about any
other programs that cause trouble. I remember now that I got fed up with
ACDSee freezing up on me. I have not idea what it would have in common
with Quicken. I also can't think of any changes that happened right
before this started.

I'm thinking of upgrading to see if that helps. Also, I have a
workaround, which is to deal with one account, close and start Quicken.
Move to the next account, etc.

Also, I think someone told me about software that diagnoses hardware.
I'll see if I can find that reference again.
