On the Slackware site and mirrors:
ftp://ftp.slackware.com/pub/slackware/unsupported/kde-3.5.10-for-slack13.0
(and equivalent trees on the mirrors).
I don't know if it is on the DVD too, didn't test for that.

There are both i486 (32-bit) as well as x86_64 versions available.

I'm not sure where people are getting the qt3 not supported thing. In the
extra/ directory there is a kde3-compat set of packages. That's not to say
that they are supported, but they certainly are there, and they work.

Moreover, why do you think that you need to run KDE to run Quanta Plus?
It's a QT application, or a KDE application, maybe, but you don't need to
run KDE to use it. I've seen this a couple of times. There is no reason to
run KDE unless you want their environment. I can run KMail, Kate, Kopete,
and a hope of other applications that are part of KDE without running the
whole KDE suite. Just run the application you want on the Desktop
Environment or window manager of your choice.

In other words, why don't you use XFCE and run Quanta Plus at the same
time? Just make sure the kde3-compat libraries are installed so that
Quanta can run.

Well it's simpler to just install a full package normally and run the
program form it's "own" environment.. Maybe I am lazy? or have to much
hard drive space? or both?

QT application. Yes. as is KDE.. and the thing is that I only asked why
it wasn't with the KDE installation and that I got the answer on..

I installed the packages needed.. including QT.. and now I can run it..
and Yes I run it in XFCE. but I also have a full KDE 4 installation if I
get tired of XFCE.. and Tab-windows too.. which is the most minimal and
in my opinion the best to run. :-D But.. not much for those that like to
play with the mouse ;-)

Did you use the packages in the 13.1 extra/ directory or did you grab them
from some older distribution?

I took from 12.2 since I had that CD home.. I used QT, kdewebdev and
kdesdk packages from that one.. Since it is installed in separate
directories it doesn't interfere with the new installation..
