From: Aaron on 8 Jun 2010 14:13 I paid $20 to get a CD with Matlab on it from my school assuming I could use the program whenever I needed. Now, when I try to use the activation key it says it is expired. It hasn't even been 1 year since I bought it. I didn't even need to buy MatLab but I thought it might be useful in the future. Did I waste my $20? I can't use it anymore?

Did I waste my $20? I can't use it anymore? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I didn't know the student versions were that cheap. You're sure you bought a legitimate copy from your school? The Mathworks offers free telephone support for all installation issues, including the student version. I suggest you call them.

Did I waste my $20? I can't use it anymore? By "from my school" do you mean that some of school personnel has sold the CD with ML to you? Campus licences need to be updated from time to time, but you should be able of doing that under the campus licence. $20 is a price of a CD incl. small fee for burning it. I understood your post as a sincerely meant question, but somebody was maybe not that sincere with you.
