From: Atreyu on 6 Mar 2007 12:48 I'm running Win98 with all the updates and patches till MS stopped supporting it. I also have AVG 7.5 free version installed and running. While "snooping" around in Windows Explorer, I noticed in C:/Windows/Temp seven folders named RARSFX*, where * is an arabic numeral from 0 to 6. RARSFX0 thru RARSFX4 folders are empty. However the following files appear in both RARSFX5 and RARSFX6 folders, each folder totaling 32.2MBs!!: avgsetup.exe (1, 298kb) files.dat (29,937kb) license_us.txt (6kb) setup.dat (642kb) setupus.LNS (82kb) sporder.dll (9kb) trialkey.dat (1kb) I looked around in AVG's Free Forum and found no references to this issue. Does anyone know if it is safe to delete these RARSFX folders and their contents? I'm wondering if these folders were created when I uninstalled and then reinstalled AVG...something I've done several times over time since I've been using AVG. TIA to anyone's response.
