Then you would know that one can open several VTs [consoles] for every Desktop ? So I've got 20 mc running in various Desktop, VT: D/V. Each mc is 'open' in some dir where I've got a 'project'. So when a task arrives for projectX, I want to know which D,Vs are already 'open in the dir of projectX'. So I want a list of: paths [which show the project] <--> D,V It's a bit like a fleet of taxis, which are circulating: so when a client calls in from location X, you want to know which free-taxi is currently nearest to locationX. `pstree -p` shows the map/heirarchy of spawned tasks, which are related to the D,V
