Hi,

Have screwed up my dock (10.4.11 on G5).
The whole system was backed up on Friday.

Is there any way I can recover just my dock from that backup?

Recover the file ~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.dock.plist

I did this a while ago, and I think I remember that it would have been
better if I'd logged out, recovered that file using a different login
account, then logged back into the broken dock account.

I didn't do it that way, and it seemed to need a few iterations of
logging out, replacing the plist file and logging back in to get it
right.
