I wonder if something else changed that may be causing this regression. Looks like there is a bug almost a year old that has been filed #6522 for this, I added that this affects 3.4.x and 3.5.x as well. I hope a fix can be found soon. I looked at the code and much of it is the same betweek 3.2 and 3.3, only some variable renames which all match up ok and the use of a different object for some of the initial information (that part is way over my head).
