The normal ones who fails in between are generally willing in having a positive dialog with the offended ones, trying to enter into compromise with. The MS-employees show no sign at all. They only shows a hard-coded requirement. Though, It seems to me being a trend all over today, not confined to ms alone. /se

It wasn't just us. They're even /behind/ Apple now. Bob --

It wasn't just us. They're even /behind/ Apple now. Micro$oft's days are numbered, at least in the sense of them remaining such a large and powerful organisation as they currently are. They understand a lot about the profit motives of other large companies (particular those that manufacture or distribute machines and those who distribute software) and so they can make big bucks by spreading their bribes around in a manner that most efficiently causes those companies to do their bidding . The problem is that the world is rapidly moving to where the big bucks are in getting the little bucks from the little people, and Micro$oft simply do not understand people. That is where they will fail, and will fall behind those companies that do undertsand such things. Mike

That is where they will fail, and will fall | behind those companies | that do undertsand such things. That might be wishful thinking. There's the Linux protection racket, and the new H.264 protection racket....and probably more such "innovations" in the pipeline. If MS can pull off getting a cut of all Linux installs they won't even need Windows anymore. Yesterday I read that MS is threatening people who might use a new Parallels product to upgrade WinXP to Win7. These are customers who want to install Win7 and keep XP in a VM to run Win7-incompatible software. But they have OEM XP with a Win7 upgrade disk, and according to MS they don't have a right to use both systems at once. So Microsoft is threatening their most devoted customers with legal action for the "crime" of trying to find value in a new copy of MS software that they didn't need in the first place!

As evidenced by the recent deluge of articles on how Apple has lost it's cool. :-) -- ..NET: It's About Trust! http://vfred.mvps.org Customer Hatred Knows No Bounds at MSFT ClassicVB Users Regroup! comp.lang.basic.visual.misc Free usenet access at http://www.eternal-september.org |
