From: MikeR on 22 May 2010 08:22 Did anybody else get an e-mail about upgrading to the latest version (1.1) of NNTP Bridge? Which I already have. This sentence made me think it was a phishing expedition. "Please following the instructions on http://connect.microsoft.com/Microsoftforums/ to download the configure the Answers version of the NNTP Bridge." Mike

There are now two NNTP bridges, one for forums in general, and one for the Answers forum only. Previously, the forums bridge handled both. So far as I'm aware, the Answers forum is not worth participating in. -- David W. Fenton http://www.dfenton.com/ usenet at dfenton dot com http://www.dfenton.com/DFA/

Which probably explains why last week my list of available newsgroups contains the answers groups, but today after I reset the list, it doesn't. I installed the NNTP Bridge in anticipation of the others going away - a great loss as I use them frequently and often go through older posts and find answers to my programming questions. "David W.
