Even though people may post on MS newsgroups through other NNTP servers, it
doesn't change the fact that most of the experts and regular posters are
gone! And, before long, the diehards will give up. Traffic is just about
nill, you HoopleHead.

With a good kill-file, newsgroups could still work. Not sure why M$ is
killing their server but other servers will carry the M$ newsgroups if
anybody has any new questions.

Usenet and supporting people was around long before MS found the
internet let alone Usenet, it will continue just fine. The good news is
that we'll see a dramatic decrease in BS posts and people that add
insults to the end of their posts.

It's about CONTROL and MS had no control of Usenet without a LOT of work
on their part and then only their servers.

BTW, I was led to an eternal-september group, where I wasn't exactly
welcomed. I could use a referral from here to an established group maybe
more pointedly XP-interested.
