From: Tomster on 31 Mar 2010 13:47 Working with a Windows 7 Professional machine with an x 64 AMD processor. Trying to install SQL Express 2008 Advanced Services. The problem occurs in the reporting services - after the install. During the install we pick the "Install Native Mode default configuration" for reporting services. The install completes with "SUCCESS" for all components. When we go to reporting services, the URLs for WebServices and Report Manager are both blank. If we go to "advanced" and either edit or add a port... we can see the progress messages "Reserving port, or removing port"... but nothing shows up in the URL box. This is blocking our use of reporting services in the application we wish to run. I am wondering if this is related to the AMD x64 processor. Any insights provided would be greatly appreciated. -- Tomster

From: Tomster on 1 Apr 2010 12:10 We are not selecting any... just going with the default configuration... on a system where it works... it ends up showing e.g.: http://<computername>:80/ReportServer_SQLExpress As far as turning it on, we are going to the SQL Express configuration manager and selecting reporting services... at which point it asks us to connect... which we do. on the "working" system, this allows us to see the URLs. On the "non-working" system I cannot. If I am missing something here let me know. -- Tomster "Scho" wrote: > What URLs are you using? > Also, have turned on the SQL Server Reporting Service? > > Scho > . >
