From: MackTuesday on 30 May 2010 17:46 So far all of the information I've seen regarding careers in math is aimed at math majors. I have a degree in computer science and I'm eying applied math, perhaps scientific computing. I don't know if I need a degree in applied math in order to make this switch. If I do, fine, but it's one of probably many things about which I have no idea. I'd really like to find a consultant of some sort who knows the industry, can look at my particular skills, talents and interests, and help me develop some possible strategies. Barring that, can anyone point me in a good direction? I need some information suited to my particular situation and I don't know where to look.
