Hi,

On July 14, 2009, Microsoft announced that they are going to retire a few
Logo Submission categories from their logo program. Here is the text from the
Newsletter:

Logo Program Categories Retiring in June 2010

The Tape Drive, Medium Changer, and Serial Port Adapters logo program
categories are retiring in June 2010. Effective June 1, 2010, no logo will be
available for these devices. Devices that currently use these logo program
categories will have to use the Unclassified category to obtain a driver
signature beginning June 1, 2010.

I was wondering if it's still the case? how is it going to be enforced? Does
WLK 1.5 already know about this change?

Thanks much.

"Enforced"? It you submit a WLK package in one of those categories, it
will be returned to you. That's about all it takes.

Thanks Tim.

According to the latest information I got from Microsoft this morning, these
categories will remain open for the life of WLK 1.5. Further announcements
will be made about these categories before the WLK 1.6 kit releases.
