From: DJ on 13 Apr 2010 14:01 Document was created, saved. I then deleted the document. Realized I deleted wrong document. Went into my Recycle Bin, but no Word documents are in the Bin. How do I find where my deleted documents are? Can I still retrieve the document? Desperate as it could cost my job. Thanks
From: Yves Dhondt on 13 Apr 2010 14:26 Yes, no, maybe ... If it's deleted and not in your recycle bin, then it's gone. However, if the document was saved on disc before you deleted it, there is a chance that an 'undelete' program might be able to retrieve it. All depends on how full your disc is and how much disc writing took place since you deleted the file. Example undelete programs: http://ntfsundelete.com/ http://www.active-undelete.com/ http://www.r-studio.com/ I used the last two programs years ago on Windows XP. I can't comment on if they have evolved or not, but they did the job back then.
