From: Keith on 29 Apr 2010 14:51 MS Word 2003. In the envelopes and labels wizard return addresses can be inserted by clicking on the down arrow to select from a list of previously used addresses. How can that drop down list be edited to remove old addresses? Thanks
From: Graham Mayor on 30 Apr 2010 08:31 The short answer is that you can't. The only way to clear the address list is to delete or rename the Word data key in the registry - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Data - but this has implications for a whole raft of personal settings. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> "Keith" wrote: > MS Word 2003. From: Keith on 12 May 2010 09:53 Thanks Graham, I would rather not change registry settings. Is there a file I can delete or rename to force a new listing of return addresses? Thanks again. - Keith "Graham Mayor" wrote: > The short answer is that you can't. No. They are stored in the registry as indicated. Not in a file. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> "Keith" <Keith(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:8DD566A4-391C-4E27-A856-BCFEB7E633F5(a)microsoft.com... > Thanks Graham, I would rather not change registry settings.
