From: PaulB108 on 11 Feb 2010 22:17 Good afternoon, In an effort to protect a particular folder from unwanted changes I earlier right clicked on that folder and chose propoerties>security tab>advanced>owner tab and changed the current owner to myself. I would like to go back and change that to "Administrators" again for the time being but it will not let me. I get a message box saying: "Unable to set new owner on ___ This security ID may not be assigned as the owner of this object". I am unsure what to do next...could someone please help?
From: Saucy on 11 Feb 2010 23:17 Log as the Administrator and take possession then. From: PaulB108 on 11 Feb 2010 23:32 I do not believe so-so good point! However I was not logged in as admin when I made the original change either... But how is it then that I was able to change the owner in the first place without being logged on as an administrator?
