Next: Spell chekc not working in word tables
From: axw99 on 21 May 2010 17:18 I'm running Word 2007. I've created a number of styles that use Verdana font. My normal.dot font is also Verdana. However, I'm finding when I select one of my styles, the font reverts to Times New Roman. This seems to happen more when working with tables. It's made my styles useless because of this issue. I read a few postings about this in this discussion group and they all seemed to refer to Acrobat 7 and removing an Add-In. I have Acrobat 9 and didn't see any add-ins in Word for it. I removed FoxIt from my computer completely as well. Any thoughts on what's happening? Many thanks in advance!
From: Pamelia Caswell via OfficeKB.com on 21 May 2010 20:26 If you haven't changed the document defaults, the settings there could creep into your document. This is particularly true with tables because they take their settings from the defaults. Styles based on no style also take their setting from the defaults. The defaults were hard coded in previous version. They are user definable now to allow some of the new features of W2007/10. The first step in trying to solve your problem is to change the defaults to what you have set in normal. HTH, Pam axw99 wrote: >I'm running Word 2007. This has nothing to do with Acrobat (which does have an add-in for Word, and which if installed adds an Acrobat tab to the ribbon ). Note also that the normal template for Word 2007 is not normal.dot but normal.dotm. Are you sure you made the changes in the correct template? What is the font set in the Normal paragraph style? Did you save the template after making the changes? Open normal.dotm in Word. Make your changes and save it again. -- <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> Graham Mayor - Word MVP My web site www.gmayor.com Word MVP web site http://word.mvps.org <>>< ><<> ><<> <>>< ><<> <>>< <>><<> "axw99" <axw99(a)discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:56F52149-7A32-4AE5-901D-ABC119D30ED7(a)microsoft.com... > I'm running Word 2007.
