From: rpg16 on 29 Nov 2009 12:00 Infact they are all Liouville numbers... Here's my paper http://www.2shared.com/file/9549992/5628e3e7/Irrationality_Of_Zeta_n.html Check it out, and do let me know if I am wrong... (Especially if I am intuitively wrong at the end)... Thanks Roupam

Notice the small > "Save file to your PC: click here" link on the bottom... When a proof of the transcendence of zeta(n) appears, it won't be on a music sharing website. You've "proved" that zeta(n) is Liouville for n = 2, 3, .... Now, zeta(2) = (pi^2) / 6. Have you checked out the known irrationality measures for pi^2 to see whether they are consistent with your "result"? -- Gerry Myerson (gerry(a)maths.mq.edi.ai) (i -> u for email)

I realised there were some errors so, i just investigated irrationality... transcendence and Liouville stuff will come later... ;) Here's the link http://www.filefactory.com/file/a22g9e0/n/Irrationality_Of_Zeta_n.pdf Click on the "Download Now with file factory basic" button in the bottom... Also, can someone please point me towards a better file hosting site... hehe!!! rpg |
