We post questions here on this Microsoft Group because we're not techs and usually don't have a clue what the tech-speak means, refers to or where to start trying to follow helpful directions. As for an updated driver, is it possible that an updated driver was automatically updated when the drive was wiped clean, reformatted and XPpro (service pack 3) was installed? Try rolling-back the touchpad driver per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/283657 If the laptop includes a fingerprint reader, roll-back that driver, too. And seriously, try another mouse. It is a very simple step and it avoids you having to kick yourself after spending a few hours on chasing a non-existent Windows issue. |
