From: Tony L. on 24 Jun 2010 00:07 Hi: I migrated a Sharepoint 3 site from one domain to another. Was running on W2K3, now on W2K8. I used stsadm to backup and restore to the new server/domain. But I, as the administrator, cannot get full access to the site. Certain elements do not display, and say, "Access denied. You do not have permission to perform this action or access this resource." Additionally, I created a group of Contributors in AD, and gave that group Contributor rights on the Sharepoint Permissions page. However, nobody in that group can access the site at all. Ideas? Thanks, Tony
From: Tony L. on 24 Jun 2010 21:07 A follow up post to my first: After poking around a bit more with the migrated site, I've gotten to where an administrator can see the entire site. But normal users (with contributor rights or less), can view most of the site, but certain we parts give the access denied message. For example a calendar just isn't viewable by users. I'm confused about this because, aren't all these web parts stored in the same database? I appreciate any help, Tony "Tony L." wrote: > Hi: > I migrated a Sharepoint 3 site from one domain to another. > Was running on W2K3, now on W2K8. > I used stsadm to backup and restore to the new server/domain. > > But I, as the administrator, cannot get full access to the site.
