Considering the over-inflated pricing of 'vintage' guitars, especially 50's
strats and LP's, running into the 100's of thousands - he might not be far
off;-P

Oh, and BTW, the OP should maybe make a complete list of what they *do* have
and if it's still usable. Cause if they don't need mic's or stands or
whatever, that changes the equation. Also, do they need monitors, and what's
the expectations for sends? Will a couple sidewash with mainly just vocals
cut it, or one or 2 sends with wedges for vocals, or something more robust
to handle full mixes?

You can't just go to a restaurant and say "I'm hungry", be more specific.
