From: duncan on 9 Apr 2010 05:01 I created a new view MyView using Define Views (and automatic formatting) in Outlook. I added several rules to customize font colors based on different conditions. I also modified the standard view Unread Messages in This Folder also using Define Views. After flipping back and forth a few times between MyView and Unread Messages in This Folder the customized font colors in MyView disappear. When I reopen the automatic formatting form in Define Views the rules I created are gone. The custom formatting in Unread Messages in This Folder is still OK. How can I prevent the rules from disappearing? Where are they actually stored? I am hooked up to Exchange server if that makes a difference.
From: duncan on 10 Apr 2010 09:35 I found a solution. Don't create a new view in Define View, instead, modify one of the existing default views in Define View. I modified Messages and Unread Messages in This Folder. Now the formatting rules are stable. Adding some different colors based on sender, etc. using Define Views really increases my productivity in processing email! From: duncan on 11 Apr 2010 01:12 I spoke too soon. All of the rules I added to my two modified default views disappeared today. *sigh* "duncan" wrote: > I found a solution.
